Cricketing World Goes Mad As Chennai Super Kings Wins The IPL 2018 Finale

Tonight was the big night for the IPL lovers. The finale of season 11 of Indian Premier League was won by Chennai Super Kings beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets at the very famous Wankhade Stadium of Mumbai.

The finale match turned out to be another nail biting match. Both the teams have been giving us some exceptional performances since the start of the league, while Sunrisers Hyderabad have emerged out to be the defending champions, on the other hand, Chennai Super Kings have always been the chasing masters.
Before the big match started tonight, the Sunrisers Hyderabad were invited to bat first as the toss was won by the Chennai Super Kings who chose to bowl first.

The first innings started off with the blow for Sunrisers as Shreevats Goswami was dismissed after a few balls. Shikhar Dhawan too played a slow innings and scored 26 runs in 25 balls before he was bowled by Ravindra Jadeja.
Kane Williamson started off slow but he was gearing up for some thrilling shots when Dhoni stumped him. He scored 47 runs off 36 balls. Shakib Al Hasan was caught out by Suresh Raina but he scored quick 23 runs off 15 balls.

Deepak Hooda too was dismissed after a few balls, he scored 3 runs in 4 balls. Carlos Brathwaite scored quick 21 runs in 11 balls. Yusuf Pathan played a great knock, he scored 45 runs in 25 balls.
The players of Sunrisers Hyderabad stretched the scores to 178 runs. However, Chennai Super Kings chased the target runs with a jaw dropping performance.
The second innings of the match started off slow from the openers Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis. Faf was dismissed after a few balls. Suresh Raina scored 32 runs in 24 balls.

However, on the other hand Shane Watson remained unbeaten till the last ball.Tonight the hero of the match was Shane Watson.What a stunning performance from stunning Shane Watson tonight.

He smashed the bowlers of Sunrisers Hyderabad to all the corners of the ground and took the match away with a storm. With a power-packed strike rate of 205, Shane Watson scored a whopping 117 runs in 57 balls. The audience at Wankhade stadium was blessed to witness some jaw-dropping and eyes-popping shots from Shane Watson, he smashed 11 fours and 8 sixes.

His destructive performance made the Chennai Super Kings win the league for the third time. Chennai Super Kings won the Indian Premier League 2018 with 8 wickets.
