Two Strongest And Weakest Players Of CSK In IPL 2020

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) missed their mark of glory in the preceding season by a whisker as Mumbai got the better of them by a solitary run. However, they will be hell-bent to make amends this time though they will be missing on the likes of their most consistent player Suresh Raina and also their experienced campaigner Harbhajan Singh.

Things won’t really be the same for Kings without Rains in the middle of it, however, we all know that in the gruesome attire in which T-20 cricket is clad in, there is no time to lament. Hence Chennai will be lining up without the likes of two of their most trusted players, however, the show must go on. We will quickly take a look at two of their strongest and weakest players in the lineup.

CSK Strongest:

Shane Watson and Josh Hazlewood

Chennai will be spearheaded by two Australians in two departments. Though Watson is an all-rounder, he is more reputed for his batting flair. Known to house a wide array of shots up his sleeves, Watson’s careful approach which later transforms into a magnificent show of pyrotechnics is too dazzling for any bowlers to withstand. A master of 3575 IPL runs at a blistering strike rate of almost 140, Watson is destined to be an IPL legend.

Josh Hazlewood, on the contrary, will be starting his IPL odyssey this year. Despite lacking prior IPL experience the numbers that this lanky fast bowler holds in his support are too excellent to be put down. With 285 international wickets, he brings a boatload of glitter for the bowling ranks of Chennai which any experienced IPL campaigner cannot produce. More importantly, he is death over specialist and his economy rate of 2.78 in Tests and 4.7 in ODI also underlines how imperative will Hazlewood be in the ranks of Chennai.

CSK Weakest:

Ruturaj Gaikwad and R Sai Kishore

Gaikwad will need a good deal of mental strength to make a comeback, considering the fact that he tested positive for the virus just before the fray started. Despite recuperating at a healthy rate, he will still have concerns running in the back of his head which will leave the man’s loyalty torn apart to himself and to his team. With so much already on the plate, it won’t be a joyride for this youngster.

Sai Kishore is definitely an exciting prospect in the ranks of Chennai but he will need more than promise and prospect to file a strong case for himself in the lineup. With too many players already fighting for that spot which includes veterans like Imran Tahir and Mitch Santner, it will be intriguing to watch this lad deliver under pressure, an act that can either bring out the best or devastate even the best, for example, Kuldeep Yadav.
