CSK vs DC: 10 Best Memes On CSK’s Clinical Win Against DC

CSK vs DC: A third half-century in a row from opener Devon Conway set up the Chennai Super Kings for a massive total of 208, which the Delhi Capitals fell 91 runs short of. With this win, DC have taken a hit to their playoffs chances, while MS Dhoni’s side remains alive, hanging by a thread.

Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad were more aggressive today than they had been in their last couple of partnerships. A massive 110-run stand – almost foreseen with both of their recent forms – from 67-balls was the platform CSK needed for their second-half assault.

After the dismissal of Gaikwad (41 off 33), it was Shivam Dube, returning to the eleven, who continued with the momentum with blitzing 32 runs from 19 balls. Although CSK did stutter with quick wickets of Conway (87 from 49), Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali, Dhoni once again provided the late flourish, walloping 21 runs from 8 balls.

The Capitals needed as solid a start from their openers as CSK had got, however, KS Bharat, playing his first match of the season, managed only 8 runs and David Warner had a rare failure, dismissed for 19 by mystery spinner Theekshana.

Mitchell Marsh and Rishabh Pant tried reviving the innings with 25 and 21 respectively but they fell into the spin web of Moeen Ali, who ended the night with stunning figures of 3/14 in his four overs.

Mukesh Choudhary returned to deliver the wickets of Rovman Powell and Axar Patel, denting DC’s hopes for saving their net run rate from the nosedive. Returning to the eleven after an injury-forced break, Dwayne Bravo got to show his dance moves after snapping up a brace.

With such a massive margin of victory – 91 runs – CSK have pushed their net run rate into positive (+0.028) and keep their hopes alive for a miraculous entry into the playoffs.

Just as usual, memers galore on Twitter, hailing CSK’s mighty comeback this season and DC’s disappointing loss.

RCB gains the most from CSK’s win followed by RR.

GT, LSG, RR, and RCB all have more than 90% chance of qualifying for Playoffs.

Rishabh Pant just wasted an opportunity to tame a T20 game. No 50 this season yet for someone batting at No.4 #CSKvDC
