Here’s Why Ravindra Jadeja Was Made To Sit Out: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is currently locking its horns against Delhi Capitals in the ongoing IPL 2022 clash at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Ahead of the game, the MS Dhoni-led side suffered a major blow as their all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the game. Ravindra Jadeja has been replaced with Shivam Dube in the playing XI of the side.
At the toss, Chennai’s captain MS Dhoni confirmed that Jadeja is not fit and hence he is not playing in the big clash. He had said: “Jaddu is not fit and Dube comes in.” However, there is no official confirmation on what injury the ex-CSK captain has suffered.
Ravindra Jadeja was named Chennai’s captain two days before the start of the season and became only the second permanent captain in CSK’s history. However, Dhoni was re-appointed as the captain after eight games as CSK had a nightmare start to the season.
Ravindra Jadeja, who is hailed as one of the most talented all-rounders in the world, had a forgettable season on the individual front as well. He was only able to amass 116 runs in 10 innings with the bat and picked only 5 wickets with the ball. Currently, CSK is at 9th position on the table with 3 wins and 7 losses to their name.
