CSK vs KKR: Top 10 Funny Memes As CSK Defeated KKR At Chepauk By 7 Wickets

CSK recorded a comprehensive victory over KKR, who suffered their first loss of the season after three wins at the start of the tournament, at Chepauk by 7 wickets on Monday night.

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s team had lost their last two matches, both away from home, after winning their first two games at home. Now that they returned to Chepauk, CSK resumed their winning chariot and they did it in a comprehensive style of Shreyas Iyer’s side.

Ravindra Jadeja and Tushar Deshpande took a three-wicket haul each before Gaikwad’s 67 guided CSK to a comfortable run-chase of 138 runs.

This victory of CSK – MS Dhoni’s CSK – over Gautam Gambhir’s KKR sparked a meme-fest on Twitter.

Here are some funny memes on CSK’s win over KKR:

Talking about the match, KKR, after losing Phil Salt on the first ball, got rolling with Narine and Raghuvanshi. However, Jadeja’s arrival landed brakes on KKR’s momentum as he dismissed the two set batters  and also Venkatesh Iyer. Deshpande returned to get rid of Rinku Singh and Andre Russell as KKR were restricted to 137. In the chase, Gaikwad, the CSK skipper, anchored the innings superbly with his 67* (58) and hit the winning runs.

Gaikwad said, “Little nostalgic for me. During my first IPL fifty, similar situation, Mahi bhai was with me and we finished the match. Wicket was slightly tricky, didn’t want to put the side under pressure. Was a 150-160 wicket. With this team I don’t need to tell anything to anyone. In T20 sometimes you need little bit of luck to get going.”

Jadeja bagged the Man of the Match for his 3/18. Jadeja said, “Always enjoy my bowling here. Was just looking to bowl in good areas. I’ve practiced a lot here – if you bowl in good areas, it helps you. Takes time for visiting team to settle down and plan something. Difficult for them to come here and identify the surface.”
