Watch: Dale Steyn Promotes His IPL Team ‘RCB’ At The Big Bash League

South African fast bowler, Dale Steyn is no longer the most threatening bowler on the planet but he still is one of the best in the business. Although he has bid adieu to Test cricket, Steyn has continued to entertain the fans in the limited-overs formats.

He is currently playing in the Big Bash League where he is a part of the Melbourne Stars squad. Steyn was originally supposed to play the whole tournament for Stars but an unfortunate injury forced him to miss a few matches at the start of the season.

This led to the inclusion of Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf in the Melbourne squad. Surprisingly, no one knew about him before the BBL and even Glenn Maxwell acknowledged this fact. The right-arm quick has already taken a five-wicket haul and a hat-trick in the tournament which showcases his incredible talent.

With Rauf performing so well, the Stars have preferred to include him in the playing XI on more occasions. Thus, on the other hand, Dale Steyn seems to have shifted his focus towards the Indian Premier League. He was recently seen shouting ‘E Saala Cup Namdhe’ which is Royal Challengers Bangalore’s slogan in the tournament.

The fast bowler was signing a match ball for a fan where the fan who seemingly loved RCB asked him to say “E Saala Cup Namdhe and Go RCB!” The South African star obliged him as he shouted the aforementioned words. RCB fans are delighted after this gesture by their gun fast bowler.

IPL 2020 is just three months away and all the fans of Royal Challengers Bangalore would hope that Steyn stays fit ahead of the tournament. If Steyn can lead the RCB bowling attack for the entire course of the season then, the Virat Kohli-led outfit has a realistic chance of capturing their maiden IPL championship in the approaching tourney.
