Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has shown his support and demanded justice for the Hindu Kachhi community in the Sind region of Pakistan after reports emerged of Hindu houses and temples being destroyed by a Muslim landlord.
On Tuesday, the South Asian Digest revealed that a Muslim landlord was troubling Hindus in Sindh by demolishing their houses and temples and even setting fire to a village.
“Muslim landlord demolishes houses, Hindu temple, and sets fire to entire Hindu village in Sindh, Pakistan. The Hindu Kachhi community, who had lived there for 40 years, has been left homeless and threatened,” the South Asian Digest reported.
Danish Kaneria, who is one of the only two Hindu players to have played for Pakistan, took notice of this barbaric act from the Muslim landlord and brought the attention of his followers on Twitter. Danish Kaneria expressed his grievances regarding this cruel action by the landlord and demanded justice for the Hindu minorities in Sindh.
Danish Kaneria tweeted: “Hindu minorities are living in a religious war zone in Sindh. Each day, Hindus witness a new way of persecution and are left helpless. It’s time we must stand with the Hindu Kachhi community and demand justice.”

Pakistan is focused less on cricket and more on geopolitics: Danish Kaneria

Speaking after Pakistan’s embarrassing loss to Afghanistan in the World Cup 2023 match in Chennai, the former leg-spinner reckoned Pakistan cricket is more involved in politics and that is disturbing the morale of the players.
Inzamam-ul-Haq, the chief selector, has stepped down from his post due to an alleged conflict of interest while the PCB has indirectly hinted Babar Azam that he’s likely to be sacked as captain after World Cup.
“While Team Afghanistan is focusing more on cricket and less on politics, Team Pakistan is focused less on cricket and more on geopolitics. @TheRealPCB is downgrading the morale of its cricketers by constantly issuing removal warnings to the captain in case of poor performance. This is happening when team selection is already in question,” Kaneria said.
“Babar Azam’s private chats have been leaked and Inzamam-ul-haq has stepped down as chief selector after his alleged involvement in player management company. Pakistan team is going through a worse phase. It is time for some major changes in PCB as well as the team,” he added.
