Darren Sammy Posted An Emotional Tweet For Windies: West Indies cricket team suffered a humiliating defeat against England as they were bundled for a paltry 55 runs in the first innings of their opening clash in the 2021 Two World Cup against England. The Eoin Morgan-led side chased down the target in just 8.2 overs and won the match by six wickets.

The West Indies side set a meager target of 56 runs as only one batsman was able to cross double figures.  Chris Gayle was the highest scorer as he hit 13 runs off 13 deliveries and no other batter scored double-digit runs to summarize their terrible performance with the bat.

Later, Jos Buttler played a sensible knock against West Indies, ensuring that his team reach the target safely. Earlier, Moeen Ali (2/17) and Tymal Mills (2/17) played crucial roles in the bowling department to bundle up the West Indies side. Chris Woakes picked up one wicket, however, it was leg spinner Adil Rashid (4/2) who turned out to be the hero with the ball as he spun a web around the West Indies middle-order batters.
