David Warner vs England crowd: England and Australia are currently locking horns in the ongoing first Test of the Ashes 2023 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The match is evenly poised and both the teams would be trying their best to get the much-important 1-0 lead in the five-match series. Australia needs 174 runs on the fifth day to win the second straight Test match on English soil this summer, whereas England needs seven wickets to take an early advantage in the 2023 Ashes.

David Warner Gave An Epic Response To England Fans

Amidst the game, fans have been leaving no stone unturned to make life more difficult for the visitors. The Edgbaston crowd used various references to the 2018 Sandpapergate scandal to mock the Australian players, especially David Warner and Steve Smith, who were handed a year-long ban for their involvement in the infamous controversy.

On Day 4, the crowd took a dig at Warner by calling him a ‘cheat’ but the Australian opener didn’t hold back and gave a befitting reply to the fan. When he was coming down the stairs to take the field, he gave a double thumbs up to the fan, who called him ‘f***** cheat’ and said ‘Woah’.
