Last night, Deepak Chahar broke a few records to bundle up the Bangladeshi Tigers and take India to the winning side in the must-winning game to beat Bangladesh in the three-match Twenty20 International series. He was exceptional with his variations as he delivered his career’s best figures of 6/7 in the final T20I to help India seal the series.

The right-arm pacer became the first Indian to pick a hat-trick in T20Is and also returned the best-ever bowling figures in T20Is. Knocking out Liton Das, Deepak started off brilliantly. Das’ wicket was followed by the dismiss of Soumya Sarkar soon.
Then he was again seen in some great action when Rohit Sharma gave him a breakthrough in the middle overs. He removed Mohammad Mithun in the middle overs. The brilliance was continued in the death overs as well as he straightaway knocked out the tail-enders of Bangladesh to bag his first-ever five wickets haul in the shortest format of the game.

After the match, Deepak revealed that he never dreamt of this. He also added that he is happy that he was able to perform for his team during the tough situation. He said:

”I never thought of this, not even in my dreams. I have been trying to work hard since my childhood and my efforts have paid off. Rohit was planning to give me the crucial overs and the management wanted to do the same. I always focus on the next ball, I keep doing that until I don’t complete my spell,”
