Australia’s debutant Scott Boland stole the show with his impeccable bowling as he helped the Australian cricket team to bowl out England side for 68 runs and win the third Test match by an innings and 14 runs. Scott turned out to be the hero of the Australian side as he picked up 6 wickets in 4 overs for just 7 runs in England’s second innings.

The stunning victory also meant that the Australian side took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series and also managed to retain the Ashes successfully. Now the England team will be playing the rest of the two matches for their pride.

Thanks to his stunning performance, Scott Boland was adjudged Player for the Match for picking up 7 wickets (including the maiden wicket he picked in the first innings). He dismissed Hasib Hameed, Joe Root, Jack Leach, Ollie Robinson, Jonny Bairstow, and Mark Wood to register a memorable debut.

Interestingly, Boland wasn’t the first-choice player in the playing XI. He was brought into the Australian Ashes squad as an injury cover. The England cricket team was bundled up for just 68 runs in the second innings as Australia retained the Ashes.

Meanwhile, Australian journalist Dennis Freedman, who is very famous on Twitter for his opinion on cricket, trolled the England cricket team hilariously after their humiliating defeat in the Ashes. Dennis wrote:

“The ECB have announced the launch of The Fifty as they can’t make 100”

Later, after the match, Scott said that he could not believe the Test match finished so quickly. He said: “Can’t really believe. We thought we had a chance of winning today when we came in, but just not so quickly. I came to know on Christmas Eve, and had a lot of support from teammates and family. It was a big step up from anything that I have played, and I knew it would be tough. I want to thank the crowd for all their support over the last three days, really appreciate it,”
