Dhoni Finally Breaks The Narine-Jinx With This Exotic Feat

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been an imposing moniker in the echelons of Indian cricket and has chronicled countless exploits against remarkable athletes of the sport. However, there was one name that remained unconquered in the arena of IPL and that was the former Caribbean spinning talisman, Sunil Narine.

The jinx was finally broken as MS Dhoni dispatched a whacker to the ropes in a free hit with a certain magnitude of luck. Narine was one of the most exceptional bowlers of the tournament in the initial years of IPL. However, as time started whizzing by he has now become a mere shadow of an illustrious past.

He was clobbered left and right by the Chennai batters in today’s game, especially Du Plessis after the spinner had an early sway. Absolutely nothing that the spinner tried to do worked in his favour and he was dispatched all around the planet in impressive fashion.

Moeen Ali has just departed and it was the fourth ball of the 17th over that saw Dhoni floating it to the covers for a single. The next ball was a no-ball that saw the change of ends and a free hit to follow. The delivery that followed was actually a decent ball that bobbled up out of nowhere to stun Dhoni and catch a thick nick of his blade.

Dhoni’s frenetic swing of the bat was enough for the ball to race away to the boundary that also had aid from a fast outfield at Wankhede. The jinx of Narine’s supremacy over MS Dhoni was finally broken in a display of pain and melancholy for Kolkata Knight Riders. Ever since their first victory in the tournament, they have been completely out of sorts and this woe continues for the Purple and the Gold Army as Chennai imposed a colossal total on the cards.
