Being a skipper of any team isn’t an easy thing. They have a lots of responsibilities on their shoulders. On some days things doesn’t go the way you plan or expect them too, the other days you loose the match.
In this season of IPL, we saw Dinesh Karthik’s debut as a skipper for Kolkata Knight Riders. The young opener is in a great form, the way he played at the Nidahas Trophy this year and now at the IPL, he is giving one thrilling performance.
Kolkata Knight Riders will be next seen in the match against Delhi Daredevils on Monday at the Eden Gardens but before making his way towards Eden Gardens, Dinesh Karthik will make a quick visit to Australia where his wife Dipika Pallikal is taking part in the ongoing commonwealth games.
For those who are not aware, then we should inform you that Dinesh Karthik’s wife Deipika is a top Squash Player of India. Dipika Pallikal will be playing the squash doubles with mixed doubles gold with Saurav Ghosal in the Commonwealth Games at the Oxenford Studios show courts.
She is also just two wins away from defending her women’s doubles gold with Joshna Chinappa.The semi-finals will be played on Saturday mornings.
In an interview ahead of his previous match, a journalist asked Dinesh about his wife playing at the commonwealth games, to which he said:
“I know that Dipika is in the finals of the mixed doubles and in the semi-finals of the women’s doubles. So, c’mon she is my wife, I know that much.”
We really wish that Dipika gets a gold for India and Dinesh wins his upcoming game.
