The Indian cricket team was defeated by the Bangladeshis to go 1-0 up in the three-match T20I series. Mushfiqur Rahim turned out to be the hero of the match and he made sure to remain unbeaten till the end.
Soumya Sarkar and Mahmdullah also supported him with their cameos, as the Bangladeshi Tigers rose towards the victory against the Indians.

Just like India, Bangladesh’s cricketers weren’t lucky enough to get a great start, however, players like Mohammad Naim, Mahmadullah, Somya Sarkar and Mushfiqur turned the tables by scoring 26, 15, 39, and 60 respectively.
Talking about the first innings, it wasn’t a good day for the Men in Blue. Shivam Dube who made his debut today for India was dismissed after scoring only one run.

The opening batsman and the captain for the series, Rohit Sharma also couldn’t leave an impression with his game as he was dismissed on 9 runs only. Shikhar Dhawan was given run-out by Mahmudullah on 41 runs. He smashed 3 fours and 1 six during his knock.
The fans are utterly disappointed with the performance of our Indian cricketers. Here, have a look at the reactions of twitterati on this:
Many narratives in that matchwining knock from Mushfiqur Rahim. Amongst other things, it will help him to somewhat exorcise the ghost of 2016????. Congrats @BCBtigers .

Rohit Sharma intentionally lost the match so that Indians don’t burst residual crackers from Diwali on Indian victory and contribute to already prevailing #DelhiAirEmergency.
Cricketer Rohit Sharma might’ve lost, Environmentalist Rohit Sharma won. What a man! Salute! #IndvsBan.

No Shakib, no Tamim, no Saifuddin and despite all the off-field issues, Bangladesh have done something no other Bangladesh team did in the past – beat India in a T20I. Tbh, they were the better side. #INDvBAN

I always wonder why Mushfiqur Rahim is not any #IPL side.
This man is just perfect for this format. He keeps wicket too!#IndvBan— Mohandas Menon (@mohanstatsman) November 3, 2019

So if we were missing half our first team Bangladesh was missing two of their senior most players Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal. Complacency may have done us in. Sloppy. #IndvsBan

So much overconfidence in Indian play today. And Bangladeshis, despite playing SO well had an unsure body language. As if they themselves didn’t believe they won the match like how. Mushfiqur did not even celebrate a hat trick of boundaries. #IndvsBan
