Eisenhower Park In New York: All Details About The Venue For India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 Match

The India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 match has got the fans excited already, even though it’s still five months away.

For the first time, the USA will be hosting a senior men’s ICC main event, and it will have the opportunity to host the biggest rivalry in cricket: India vs Pakistan. The fans of both teams will throng to the Eisenhower Park stadium in New York. The USA is the co-host of the T20 World Cup 2024 with the West Indies.

Where will the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 match be played?

The exciting clash between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 will be played on June 9 at the Eisenhower Park stadium, which is 30 miles east of Manhattan, New York. It is also known as the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.

What is the capacity of Eisenhower Park, New York?

Eisenhower Park, the stadium that will be hosting the India vs Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup 2024, has a capacity of 34,000 fans. This is a huge drop in the capacity compared to the MCG, which seated 90,000 spectators when the two arch-rivals met in the T20 World Cup 2022.

The Eisenhower Park stadium is still under construction, and it is expected to be completely ready only in May, less than a month before the T20 World Cup. This would mean that the stadium would not host any international games before the mega-tournament. There will, however, be a few warm-up matches played in this stadium, which will give an idea of the kind of pitches players could expect in the main tournament.

The ICC said, “The stadium will feature an array of seating options including premium and general admission, VIP and hospitality suites, as well as a unique party deck and cabanas.”

16 first-round group matches will be conducted in three venues in the USA: Eisenhower Park (New York), Grand Prairie (Texas), and Broward County (Lauderhill, Florida). Eisenhower Park will host eight games.

ICC’s Head of Events Chris Tetley said, “It’s a clearly defined target market for ICC. As we all know, it’s the largest sports market in the world. It’s already our third biggest broadcast market, and we’ve identified at least 30 million cricket fans in the US.”

Then, all the Super 8 round matches along with the semi-finals and final will be conducted across six venues in West Indies.
