ENG vs PAK Final: Mohammed Shami Brutally Trolls Shoaib Akhtar On Twitter After Pakistan’s Loss

Pakistan’s 1992 analogous run couldn’t materialize eventually as they lost the T20 World Cup 2022 final to a rampant England side on Sunday at the MCG.

Jos Buttler’s side were on top of the game for most parts and England’s victory further accentuated their status as the best white-ball team in the world, and perhaps of all time. The 2019 World Cup winners, England became the first-ever men’s cricket team to hold the ODI and T20 World Cups trophies simultaneously.

Mohammed Shami hilariously trolls Shoaib Akhtar for “Karma”

Senior India pacer Mohammed Shami who has never gotten involved in any social media banter or controversy decided to troll former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar on Twitter following Pakistan’s loss in the final.

Shoaib Akhtar had previously spoken against Team India in the ongoing tournament and had even predicted that India won’t reach the final.

Now, after Pakistan’s loss, Shoaib Akhtar posted a broken heart emoji on Twitter.

While Indian fans did go after Akhtar, trolling the former speedster, Shami’s reply came out of the blue.

“Sorry brother It’s call karma,” Mohammed Shami quoted Akhtar’s tweet and wrote.

This tweet from Shami blew up and the Indian fans lauded Shami for his savage response.

Meanwhile, Sam Curran was named the Player of the Match for his figures of 3/12 and also the Player of the Tournament for taking 13 wickets, with 9 of those coming in the death overs; Curran is the first specialist pacer to win the Player of the Tournament award.

“To be honest, I am little bit lost for words, it has been a great tournament. First time for me in a World Cup and we have won it. Amazing crowd. I wanted to be adaptable coming into the tournament. I haven’t bowled much at the death before and that is one area I want to keep improving. I want to improve my batting though it is tough to get to bat in this line-up. How good is it to be a World Champ,” Sam Curran said.

Ben Stokes, Engand’s hero in the 2019 final, stood up once again with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 52 in the chase of 138.
