English Cricketer Alexandra Hartley Praised Ravi Ashwin Lavishly On Twitter

Indian cricketer Ravi Ashwin, who is very active on social media received a special message from England’s cricketer Alexandra Hartley on the micro-blogging site.

It all started after Ashwin wrote a tweet lauding the brilliant performance of Laura Wolvaardt. Recently, in a match between India and South Africa, Laura Wolvaardt slammed an unbeaten 39-ball 53 to help her team win the game.

Impressed with her stunning performance, Indian cricketer Ravi Ashwin took to his Twitter and hailed her brilliance by asking the procedure to get Laura out. Ashwin also took a dig at the ‘soft signal incident that recently took place in a match between Ind and Eng. Ashwin asked:

“What is the procedure to get Laura out now? Can u send a soft signal to her? #INDvSA”

Ashwin’s tweet was soon flooded with reactions from Twitterati. However, the most special reaction came from England’s right-hand batter, Alexandra Hartley.

Alexandra was quick to notice Ashwin’s tweet and come up with an amazing reply to it. In her reply, Alexandra appreciated Ashwin for showing genuine interest in the women’s game. She also expressed how this is what matters the most to women cricketers. She wrote:

This is what matters, this is everything.
A genuine interest in the women’s game!!

Talking about the game, Riding on the performance of Lizelle Lee, who smashed a 45-ball 70, and Laura Wolvaardt, who slammed an unbeaten 39-ball 53, South Africa romped home in the last ball.
