New Zealand’s star batsman Ross Taylor played a brilliant match-wining knock in the first match of the ongoing ODI series between India and New Zealand. Taylor has a lot of experience of playing in India and he made full use of that while countering India’s young spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.
Taylor and Tom Latham formed a brilliant partnership for the fourth wicket and helped New Zealand register an easy win. Tom Latham remained unbeaten on 103 runs while Taylor perished on 95 with the winning line in sight. However, Taylor’s persistence and steady approach earned him plaudits from Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik in the post-match interviews.
Former Indian captain and Hindi commentator, Virender Sehwag, praised Ross Taylor’s knock in his trademark style on Twitter. Sehwag is the most popular and loved Hindi commentator on Star Sports panel. Fans in Indian enjoy his light-hearted and hilarious way of narrating the action and he also used very funny one-liners.
After the match, Virender Sehwag took to Twitter and wrote: “Well played @RossLTaylor Darji ji . Great effort after handling the pressure of Diwali orders .#indvsnz“
Darji means tailor in Hindi.

To which, Ross Taylor replied in an even funny way, that too in Hindi. Taylor wrote: “Thanks @virendersehwag bhai agli Baar Apna order time pe Bhej dena so Mai Apko agli Diwali ke pehle deliver kardunga ….happy Diwali.”
