Former Rajasthan Royals spinner KC Cariappa has found himself in deep water over a row with an alleged drug and alcohol addict ex-girlfriend.
Cariappa has accused his ex-girlfriend of threatening to end his career by suicide. According to a recent report in the Times of India, the Karnataka spinner has told the Bagalagunte police that he had broken up with his ex-girlfriend after realizing that she was a “drug addict, alcoholic, and promiscuous”. Cariappa said that she had also threatened his family of besmirching their reputation.
Cariappa’s ex-girlfriend has also reportedly filed an FIR against him in December last year, accusing the cricketer had impregnated her and forced her to abortion pills.
The women in consideration here is reported to be only 24 years old. She has told Times Of India that “Cariappa convinced her into not pressing the case, saying he would marry her. Considering his cricket career, she didn’t give any evidence to police, she said, adding ‘As I didn’t give any evidence, police filed a B report.'”
A police official was quoted as saying by TOI, “Based on the complaint filed by Cariappa, we have taken up a case.”
