Experts Tell Why Day 4 Of WTC Final Can Be A Total Washout

WTC Final 2021: The English weather has become more like a thorn in the eyes of cricket fans around the world. Day 1 of the ongoing World Test Championship Final between India and New Zealand was washed out because of the rain and Day 2 ended early because of bad light. Now as both the teams are going to face each other on Day 4, which is being considered as a crucial day for the ongoing match, fans would hope for the rain showers to stay away. However, Dinesh Karthik has bad news for all the fans.

Well, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik, who is at the venue on commentary duties for the ongoing World Test Championship Final, has become the ‘weather man’ for the fans and has been sharing regular updates about the English Weather.

However, ahead of day 3 of WTC Final today, Dinesh Karthik took to his Twitter and shared a piece of bad news for the fans as he informed the fans that the weather doesn’t look great at the moment. Sharing a picture of the Ageas Bowl, DK wrote:

“Doesn’t look great at the moment, sorry”

For the unversed, the overall forecast of the day isn’t ideal for cricket as it is cloudy in Southampton and there are chances that the game will get washed out because of the rain.

Meanwhile, fans were left disappointed after the weather update from Dinesh Karthik. There were many who slammed ICC for hosting the event in Southampton.  Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Such a Disgusting from ICC ? Thankyou Anna for giving the information of weather ???? pic.twitter.com/jtjF39hbvk

They say Weather is unpredictable in England, then why the hell they choose England for this Ultimate Contest in Cricket

It’s a pity for the fans who just want to see some live cricket. New Zealand are in the winning position and Jamieson is on fire! India really need to skittle NZ to have any chance. Once again, questions for India in English conditions ???????

More this match progresses, further behind TEAM INDIA will be! It’s actually a good news! Maybe dampy weather can help the bowlers later in the day

— Wanderlust (@wanderlust1587) June 21, 2021

I literally feel this is a blessing in disguise for us .. The way our bowlers are swinging as compared into Southee Jamieson I feel we should be happy if it gets ended as a draw.
