Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj got trolled heavily by Indian fans for showing some unnecessary aggression on the morning of Day 2 of WTC Final 2023 at Steve Smith after being frustrated by the big partnership between Smith and Travis Head.

Although Mohammed Siraj eventually managed to dismiss Head – after the left-hander had cracked 163 runs – ending the massive partnership of 285 runs, he had tried to sledge Smith with his animated actions, long stares, and some words as well. None of which, however, to the bowler’s dismay, managed to break Smith’s concentration.

Siraj’s aggression and emotions got the better of him in the first over itself when he angrily threw the ball at Smith after the batter had aborted in his batting stance due to some disturbance behind the sight screen while the pacer was in his run-up.

Siraj threw the ball in frustration and anger toward the stumps which left Smith baffled too. India captain Rohit Sharma too looked displeased with Siraj’s action of unnecessarily throwing the ball.

Mohammed Siraj even received some boos from the crowd at The Oval

Indian Speedster antics also got him some criticism and trolling from fans on social media.

“Siraj is the most dislikeable Cricketer i’ve ever seen,” one fan tweeted.

“siraj showing aggression after getting hit for boundaries, where have i seen this before? oh last week only. ok,” another commented.

“Siraj is angry. It’s over for Steve Smith, once he reaches his double hundred.” Another trolled him.

“Siraj is the most chapri player in Indian team. Well done Steve Smith for showing this clown his place” a fan wrote.
