India’s flamboyant wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant disappointed his fans after a dismal show with the bat in the first innings of the ongoing World Test Championship final at Southampton. Social media erupted after Kyle Jamieson dismissed the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant in quick successions, leaving the Indian cricket team in a difficult position.

Rishabh Pant walked-out to bat in a very tricky situation, after the dismissal of Indian skipper Virat Kohli on 44 runs without adding any run on his overnight total. There was a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Rishabh Pant, however, the cricketer failed to live up to the expectations and was dismissed soon.

Though Pant played every ball very cautiously and opened his run-account on the 20th ball he faced with a four. It was an unusual innings from Rishabh Pant who is known for his attacking style. The Southpaw was caught out at slip by Tom Latham as he tried to drive the ball through the off side however managed to get only the edge and had to take the long walk back for 4 off 22 deliveries.

Meanwhile, as soon as Rishabh Pant got dismissed, fans already flooded the social media with their reactions to the dismal show by the Southpaw. Fans came up with mixed reactions to his performance, while there many who backed the cricketer, on the other hand, several fans started trolling him left, right and center for his flop show. There were many who came up with hilarious memes.
