The memories of Sachin Tendulkar using Shoaib Akhtar’s speed and smashing him for a six over the third man during the 2003 World Cup is still afresh in everyone’s minds. There have been numerous memorable duels on-field between Shoaib Akhtar and Sachin Tendulkar.

Recently, Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar was tested positive for Coronavirus. Since then, social media is abuzz with tweets and posts wishing him a speedy recovery from the deadly infection. Several cricketers, celebrities, experts, and fans have taken to their social media to wish for the well-being of the Indian cricketer.

On Tuesday, Shoaib Akhtar also took to his social media and shared a get well soon tweet for Sachin Tendulkar. In his tweet, Akhtar wished for Sachin Tendulkar’s speedy recovery. He also called Sachin one of his “favorite rivalries on the ground”. He wrote:

“One of my favorite rivalries on the ground. Get well soon buddy @sachin_rt”

Meanwhile, as soon as the tweet caught eyes people on social media started brutally trolling Shoaib Akhtar.

Fans came up with hilarious reactions while trolling Akhtar for using the word “rivalry”. While some felt he was just another bowler and “nothing more”, on the other hand, many felt Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis were Tendulkar’s rivals, not Shoaib Akhtar.

Don’t belittle Sachin by using words “rivalry’ with you…Agree if McGrath or Warne use such words
