MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina have been two of the most loved and cherished cricketers of team India. They had been India’s two constants in the middle-order in white-ball cricket for a long time.
Whenever the top-order of team India failed to perform, this iconic duo often came to rescue the Indian cricket team. Together they played 73 innings together. where they amassed 3585 runs at an average of 56.90. They also lifted the prestigious 2011 World Cup trophy. Besides this, the duo gave many match-winning performances and memorable moments to the fans to cherish for life.

Talking about Suresh Raina, he has played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 72 T20Is, where he amassed 9000 runs in his international career. There’s no stopping to him when it comes to the shortest format of the game. He is literally a beast in the shortest format, this is the reason why he is fondly called Mr. IPL.
Suresh Raina has been one of the most successful cricketers in the history of IPL. He has clubbed 5368 runs in 193 IPL matches and was leading the highest run-getters in IPL until last year when the position was taken over by Virat Kohli.
Fans Are Slamming BCCI For Not Posting Anything Regarding Suresh Raina’s Retirement
On Saturday, Suresh Raina joined MS Dhoni in the new journey of life as he announced his retirement from the international format of the game. Soon after MS Dhoni announced his retirement via an Instagram post, Suresh Raina too joined the club and posted a tweet announcing his retirement. Announcing his retirement, he wrote:
“It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781 . With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!.”

Soon, the social media went into a frenzy and was flooded with heartfelt tributes for both the cricketers for their contribution to the Indian cricket team. While everyone appreciated how BCCI paid tributes to MS Dhoni for his glorious career, on the other hand, fans slammed BCCI for not tweeting anything for the man who served the Indian cricket team for over 13 years.
Here, check out the reactions from disappointed twitterati. Have a look:

BCCI hasn’t yet tweeted anything on Suresh Raina’s retirement. They are more shocked at Raina’s retirement than MS Dhoni’s retirement.

Dear @BCCI what have you done ?
Or rather why haven’t you done a post yet on Raina ?

For the Champion who played those fantastic valuable knocks in the middle order and played his role in the all important #CWC11 win!

If you enjoy the WC11 win, you got to do it for @ImRaina

Even @ICC have shown a respect to this selfless man.
Foreigners and overseas team management given tribute to him

But @BCCI has not even mentioned his name.@ImRaina is not a legend but has done something to his team and made us proud.

I absolutely hate @BCCI with a passion. Raina has also retired but they have not tweeted or retweeted anything about him at all, instead it’s all about dhoni. @ImRaina is also a legend of indian cricket. Show some respect please?
