Sunrisers Hyderabad has once again made some surprising changes in their playing XI for the first game of IPL 2021. In a massive update. Kane Williamson, who is hailed as one of the greatest skippers to have led the Kiwi side, hasn’t found a spot in the playing XI for the Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
SRH was always going to have the confusion of choosing between Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson. While Williamson wasn’t included in the playing XI, skipper David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan are their four overseas players.
However, this isn’t the first time that Williamson is warming the bench. In the last season as well, Williamson was asked to warm the bench in the first two games and consequently, SRH’s batting line-up collapsed in the absence of him. SRH lost both the games they played. Later, he made a stunning comeback and scored 317 runs last season in 12 games at the strike rate of 133.75, including a match-winning knock at the eliminator.
Meanwhile, fans on social media were left disappointed after seeing Williamson warming the bench as they believed that Williamson has always given a headstart to the SRH. Fans are slamming David Warner left, right, and center for not picking Williamson in the squad. Several fans feel that the Kiwi batsman deserves a better team.

Meanwhile, as the match kickstarted, the toss was won by SRH, who chose to bowl first. The last time both the teams clashed against each other, we saw a thrilling super-over, it would be interesting to see what happens in the ongoing game.
