Fans Are Slamming Virat Kohli For Excluding Suryakumar From India’s Playing XI

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli and team management are once again facing the heat after Suryakumar Yadav didn’t get a chance in the playing XI for the ongoing 2nd ODI match against England.

Suryakumar made an impressive T20 debut and gave match-winning performances to help India win the 5-match T20 series. On his 1st outing, SKY slammed 57 off just 31 deliveries to help India clinch a series-leveling win. In his next outing, SKY smashed a quickfire knock of 32 and helped India win the series. His brilliant performances helped him earn his maiden ODI call-up for the ongoing series.

After making a solid T20I debut, SKY was expected to make his ODI debut in the ongoing 2nd ODI after Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the series because of a shoulder injury.

A special series win. Great will power and determination on display by the team ??? pic.twitter.com/9I9fK5he1A

In his absence, Suryakumar Yadav was expected to be a part of India’s middle-order in the second ODI. However, Kohli and the team-management decided against it and picked Rishabh Pant instead of SKY.

Meanwhile, fans on social media were not at all happy with SKY’s exclusion from playing XI. They also came up with mixed reactions about Rishabh Pant being preferred over SKY. While some believe it is the right decision as Pant has been the x-factor for team India in the last few games. On the other hand, many feel SKY was just unlucky to miss out.

Many even questioned the decision of team management of making Pant don the gloves when Rahul had been their first-choice wicket-keeper.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

@BCCI why did u even select suryakumar for odis, he is sitting on bench today too. When in form batsman is not given chance it hurts. #boycot_cricket

Bit surprised by SuryaKumar Yadav’s exclusion in 2nd ODI. He could have been like for like replacement for #ShreyasIyer.

Hoping that #RishabhPant makes full use of the opportunity. pic.twitter.com/A9pFYRRij9

What more Suryakumar Yadav has to do to get an ODI debut? #IndvsEng

Personally I M not Why team management ignore Suryakumar yadav. He should be in the squad. Bcz Batsman Replace Batsman. Unfair with Sky. You have already wicketkeeper batsman in the team. Why Pant ? Why not Sky. Like & Dislike Dressing Room. Not Gud.

would have loved to see Suryakumar in playing 11 knowing he can bowl few overs too. Now really need Hardik to bowl today. 20 overs of Kuldeep and Krunal under lights is very risky. ?

Kohli: Pant replaces Shreyas Iyer and that’s the only change.
