Fans Are Trolling Krishnappa Gowtham For Costing CSK The Match: Delhi Capitals have got back to the top spot in the points table in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League after spending quite some down at second position. Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by three wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
After being asked to bat first, CSK got off to a fast start thanks to some impeccable bowling from the Delhi bowlers but couldn’t capitalize on it. Axar Patel came in and got rid of the opener Faf du Plessis early in the game. Following that Ruturaj Gaikwad also fell and CSK was on the back foot. Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali started tried to bring the momentum back to the game but they were back in the pavilion in no time. CSK desperately needed someone to bring momentum back to the game and Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni tried to do the same.
However, they were bogged down by the Delhi spinners. While MS Dhoni was seen struggling badly to find the fence and eventually lost his wicket in the final over, on the other hand, Rayudu managed to hit some lusty blows in the end and completed his half-century.
Later, Delhi Capitals started the run-chase on a positive note as Prithvi Shaw scored three fours. Deepak Chahar gave the team a much-needed breather after he got rid of the opener in the third over. Shreyas Iyer fell cheaply to Josh Hazlewood. Rishabh Pant smashed a four and a six before he was sent back to the pavilion by Ravindra Jadeja.
However, Shikhar Dhawan looked determined and he went on to score 39 off 35 balls. Shardul kept CSK in the hunt for a victory as he removed Dhawan and Ashwin in pretty quick succession. In the 18th over, Bravo was introduced into the attack and started with two wides and a four. To make things worst Krishnappa Gowtham dropped Shimron Hetmyer and the ball went for a four.
Gowtham’s missed catch proved to be the game-breaker for the Chennai Super Kings. Hetmyer made them pay he stayed unbeaten on 26 off 17 to take Delhi Capitals home.
Meanwhile, fans on social media were left livid at Gowtham for missing a simple catch and started trolling him for the misfielding. There were many who came up with hilarious memes and jokes while trolling the cricketer.
