The Indian cricket team is currently locking its horns with South Africa in the ongoing second Test match in Johannesburg and the game is turning out to be an interesting one. On the second day of the Johannesburg Test between India and South Africa, the fans witnessed a heated exchange between both the skippers KL Rahul and Dean Elgar.
The verbal duel between KL Rahul and Dean Elgar took place while KL Rahul, who looked visibly unhappy was spotted making his way back after getting dismissed off a Marco Jansen delivery in the second innings of the ongoing second Test match.
The Indian side started the second innings with a shaky note as the stand-in skipper and opener KL Rahul was dismissed early in the inning. KL Rahul could only manage to score eight runs in the second innings and was dismissed after he nicked the ball to the second slip as Aiden Markram dived in front to grab the catch.
Rahul decided to go upstairs for the review and the replays gave an impression of the ball being under Markram’s palms and it was enough to convince the third umpire, who gave the decision in Proteas’ favor. After getting dismissed, KL Rahul had some heated exchange of words with Proteas skipper as he walked off the field shaking his head in disbelief.
The video of the same has been going viral on the internet. Here, watch the video:

Here, check out how fans reacted to the heated exchange between both the skippers:
#KLRahul must have told the South African players that the whole nation will be ashamed of them for claiming that catch against him. Absolutely disgusting on their part to wrongly claim his wicket.#INDvsSA #testcricket #ICC #BCCI

That catch against #KLRahul was not at all clean. Can’t remember the last time i saw such partial and biased umpiring as well as commentating. #MikeHaysman seriously needs a life and stop cribbing about every decision that goes against SA. #INDvSA

Poor display of third umpiring by south african umpire, KL rahul was not out while Dean elgar was out #SAvIND

But KL Rahul was a deliberate wrong and unfair judgment.

Meanwhile, apart from KL Rahul, Indian opener Mayank Agarwal also departed for 23 runs, leaving the tourists reeling at 44/2 in the second innings.
Earlier in the day, Indian bowler Shardul Thakur picked his first-ever five-wicket haul in the longest format of the game for team India. He recorded figures of seven for 61 with the ball and surpassed Harbhajan Singh in the list of best innings figures among the Indian bowlers in the rainbow nation.
