The former Indian all-rounder and the current head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri, is celebrating his 59th birthday today. Social media has been flooded with amazing birthday wishes and messages for the cricketer.
Ravi Shastri, who is known for his flamboyant personality, has achieved success in different spheres of the cricketing world. While he amassed 6,938 runs across both Tests and ODIs and scalped 280 wickets in his international career. On the other hand, as India’s head coach in July 2017 and since then he has always been like the guiding force behind team India’s winning run.
Under his guidance, team India registered Test series wins in Australia on two different occasions. Not just this, the Men in Blue managed to reach the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup. The Indian cricket team is currently at the top of the ICC Test rankings and will be seen locking horns against New Zealand in the World Test Championship.
