Hanuma Vihari has been a regular player of the Indian Test team, who has time and again given some gutsy performances for his side. He is one of the prominent faces in India’s red-ball setup. However, he was ignored by the selection committee for the ongoing home series against New Zealand. His exclusion from the Indian squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand has raised many eyebrows.

Hanuma Vihari had played a gutsy and crucial knock for India at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) to salvage a creditable draw for his country in January this year. However, that was the last time he played for India. Though, he later traveled with the Indian squad for the England Test series but failed to get a place in the playing XI.

He was expected to join the Indian squad for the two-match Test series against New Zealand, however, he was snubbed from the squad. Hanuma Vihari’s omission from the squad stirred a big debate on social media, with several people slamming team India’s management and selection committee.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Hanuma Vihari took to his Twitter and shared a cryptic post on the micro-blogging site. Though, Vihari didn’t write a word in his tweet and only used a comma, but it was enough to express what he was trying to say.

Several fans and experts decoded the message behind the comma (,) tweeted by the test specialist. As per the cricket enthusiasts on social media, Vihari’s tweet was a message for his fans that his non-inclusion in the Test series against New Zealand isn’t a full-stop (end) to his career.

Remove , and that is Chetan Sharma’s contribution as selector to Indian cricket

— Prithvi (@Puneite_) November 18, 2021

I think it means it’s not a full stop of his career. Just a half stop.

Similar tweet was done by Sanju Samson two years ago when he was not selected, without any reason from BCCI

Non inclusion in this test series was a comma, not a full stop.
