Sunrisers Hyderabad’s star cricketer David Warner failed to shine on Sunrisers Hyderabad’s return to IPL 2021. Warner started the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the worst possible manner after he was dismissed for a three-ball duck against Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals.
David Warner was seen in a poor form in the Indian leg of the ongoing season of IPL, and as a result, he was removed from captaincy and dropped from the playing XI in May. Sunrisers Hyderabad is also sitting at the bottom of the table, after having a disappointing season in the first half.
Now as the IPL 2021 resumed in the UAE, Warner was included in the playing XI for the match against Delhi. Warner’s return to the playing XI sent waves of happiness among his fans, however, the celebration was cut short by the opener himself, who departed for a duck after a fiery delivery from pacer Anrich Nortje.
Warner’s horror run in the ongoing IPL 2021 continued with this dismal. In the seven games so far, Warner has managed to score only 193 runs at 27.6 with two half-centuries. Infact, his strike rate of 108.4 is the worst for the stylish opener in his IPL career so far. This was also Warner’s eighth career duck in IPL and first since 2016.
Meanwhile, Warner’s fans who were expecting a thrilling show from the stylish opener were left disappointed with the flop show. From cricketers to experts, everyone took to their twitter to express their disappointment over th esame.
