Fans React After Gujarat Titans Unveiled Logo Ahead Of IPL 2022

After a long wait, Gujarat Titans (GT) have finally unveiled their logo ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Gujarat Titans were one of the two new teams to enter the star-studded Indian Premier League (IPL) from the 2022 edition.

The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans created a virtual space in Metaverse to launch their logo via Titans Dugout. Hardik Pandya along with Shubman Gill and Ashish Nehra unveiled their new logo in the special space featuring Gold, White & Blue colors with a pyramid shape.

With this, Gujarat Titans have become the first sports team in India to introduce a dedicated virtual space for its global community of fans and players. Sharing the video, Gujarat Titans wrote:

Notably, this space will be available for fans throughout the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

Talking about the logo, it takes inspiration from the shape of a ‘kite’ that soars up and high in the sky, which also reflects the team’s desire to touch new highs of endless possibilities. As kite-flying is an integral part of Gujarat’s cultural heritage with several festivities, the logo also reflects the rich cultural heritage and legacy of Gujarat.

Meanwhile, the logo of the franchise invited mixed reactions from the fans. While many were impressed with the simplicity, there were many who started trolling the franchise.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans formed a strong team combination at the mega-auction, with marquee players including the likes of Mohammed Shami, Jason Roy, and Lockie Ferguson. The team also includes the likes of Rahul Tewatia, Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Wriddhiman Saha, who will be joining the team’s draft picks Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill, alongwith captain Hardik Pandya.
