Fans React After Jasprit Bumrah Bowls An Over With Wrong Jersey: After day 4 of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) Final between India and New Zealand was abandoned because of the rain, the action finally resumed on Tuesday. Though the slight drizzle delayed the start of the game by an hour, but fortunately things cleared up soon for the game to resume.
However, as the game began, a hilarious moment caught everyone’s attention and left everyone in splits. Well, Jasprit Bumrah caught all the limelight however not because of his performance. Bumrah was seen bowling wearing India’s regular Test jersey with the name of the main sponsor mentioned at the center of the jersey.
Yes, you read that right. Jasprit bowled the whole first over of the day wearing the wrong jersey, after which he rushed back to the dressing room between the overs to change his jersey. For the second over of the day, Jasprit Bumrah was back in the correct jersey and continued with his spell.
For the unversed, for any ICC event, the country’s name is mentioned at the center of the jersey and not the name of sponsors. The sponsors can be mentioned on the sleeves but not at the center.
Seems like Jasprit Bumrah got confused with the jerseys and hence made the error. Meanwhile, social media was soon flooded with hilarious reactions from the fans to the unintentional error made by Jasprit Bumrah.
