Fans React After Suryakumar Yadav Was Seen Wearing Arshdeep’s Jersey

India batsman Suryakumar Yadav was given another go at the top of the order to partner Rohit Sharma in the second T20I vs West Indies, on Friday in St. Kitts. However, today, SKY couldn’t make much of his opportunity as he was dismissed for 11 runs scored in 6 balls.

What caught the attention of everyone, though, was that Suryakumar Yadav was in fact wearing pacer Arshdeep Singh’s jersey!

Yes, in fact, initially when Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma were sitting on the boundary line ahead of coming out to open the innings, the camera panned on SKY’s back and fans thought that Arshdeep Singh was padded up to bat!

Here watch out for yourself:

Now, Suryakumar didn’t mistakenly wear Arshdeep’s t-shirt but seems like that was the option left after the kit bags of the players were messed up. For the unversed, the match was already been delayed by 3 hours than its scheduled time -“Due to circumstances beyond CWI’s control, there have been significant delays in crucial team luggage arriving into St Kitts from Trinidad,” the West Indies board said.

But, for the fans it was a nice chance to make some memes and have a laugh looking at SKY wearing the seamer’s jersey.

Here are some of the hilarious reactions:

The experimentation with Suryakumar Yadav as opener is yielding much ideal results. He had hit a century vs England last month batting at number 4; he has, though, scored runs at a rapid rate opening in these two matches vs West Indies – 24 off 16 balls in the first game and then 11 off 6, but India would want their star and in-form batter to spend longer time at the crease.

Meanwhile, India got off to a poor start with skipper Rohit Sharma being dismissed on the first ball of the match by Obed McCoy. However, the batsman kept going hard.

India have continued to play their new brand of cricket – play attacking shots, target the boundaries and put the bowlers under pressure – but that has resulted in a fall of wickets. At the time of writing, India have lost five wickets for 104 runs inside 14 overs.

On this pitch which is assisting the bowlers, India would want to have a score of around 150 to challenge the hosts. India currently lead the series 1-0.
