Morkel was the bowling coach of Lucknow Super Giants when Gambhir was their mentor. He also served as the bowling coach of Pakistan during the ODI World Cup 2023. The lanky fast bowler has been one of the best fast bowlers of South Africa and has also played in KKR under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir. So, Gambhir’s demands have been approved by the BCCI and they are set to appoint a foreign coach which was not the policy of BCCI in recent times.
