Fans Started A Meme Fest On Twitter As Deepak Chahar Didn’t Run-Striker Out Unlike R Ashwin

Indian pacer Deepak Chahar, who impressed everyone with his batting cameo, didn’t have a great day with the ball as he went on to concede 48 runs in 4 overs against South Africa in the 3rd T20I in Indore. While he picked just one wicket and that of Tristan Stubbs, he managed to grab all the limelight during the game.

Well, Deepak got a chance to get the wicket of Tristan Stubbs early but he chose to warn him rather than running out directly at the non-striker’s end. The incident took place in the 16th over when Deepak ran into the bowl of the 1st ball, but on seeing Stubbs walk out of his crease before he had delivered the ball he stopped midway during his run-up. But instead of running him out, Deepak only warned Stubbs not to leave his crease. Stubbs, who has been a regular offender, in this case, was seen backing up too far on multiple occasions but instead of directly running him out, left him with a warning.
