[IND vs AUS] Fans Troll BCCI With Funny Memes After Ishan Kishan Misses 3rd ODI Due To Illness

Team India made a few changes to their playing XI for the 3rd ODI against Australia in Rajkot. One of them got talked about very much on social media – that of Ishan Kishan not playing as he got sick.

A day before the match, captain Rohit Sharma had said that there was a bit of viral illness going on in the Indian dressing room. On the matchday, at the toss, Sharma confirmed that Ishan Kishan has gone down with illness and will miss the 3rd ODI at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

“There’s a bit of viral going around so there’s a bit of uncertainty in the team as well, which we cannot help. Looking at the next few weeks, it’s quite important for us to look after the players and their well being,” Rohit had said on Tuesday.

The BCCI gave an update on Kishan: “UPDATE: Ishan Kishan was unavailable for selection for the 3rd ODI due to an illness.”

Apart from Ishan Kishan missing out due to illness, India had decided to rest Mohammed Shami, Shubman Gill, Shardul Thakur, and Hardik Pandya from this game while Axar Patel is not yet fit. In the side made their return, Rohit, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah, while Washington Sundar also got a game, replacing R Ashwin.

Fans unleashed some funny memes and tweets on the BCCI and the management as Ishan Kishan missed the 3rd ODI due to illness.

For Australia, Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc made returns after injury layoffs. Tanveer Sangha replaced Zampa in the playing XI today.
