One of India’s largest online food delivering platforms – Swiggy has found itself under the scanner of criticism and trolling for making fun of batting superstar Rohit Sharma. Though, India’s vice-captain and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is one of the most talented cricketers around the world, however, trolls have always targeted the Indian batting star for his physique.
Time and again, trolls have body-shamed Rohit on several occasions. From posting doctored images of Rohit to trolling him for his eating habits, trolls leave no opportunity to poke fun at Rohit. And Swiggy did exactly the same.
Well, the official Twitter handle of Swiggy shared a doctored image from a Twitter user who showed Rohit reaching out for the food at a vada-pav stall. Sharing the image, Swiggy wrote:
“Haters will say it’s photoshopped!”
The tweet went viral in no time. While Swiggy might have thought that the tweet would bring a smile on the fans’ faces, however, it didn’t go down well with the fans.
Fans on social media were left disappointed after reading Swiggy’s tweet and started slamming the food delivery application. Swiggy was quick to delete the post, however, the harm was already done. Fans on social media are sharing the screenshot of the tweet and are slamming Swiggy left, right and center. Infact, ‘#BoycottSwiggy’ has been trending on social media because of the same reason.
