WTC 2023 Final: The Indian cricket team has received major blows ahead of the much-awaited World Test Championship final title, which will be held from 7th June to 11th June 2023 at The Oval, London. India will be without the services of talented players like Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer. If this wasn’t enough, the recent images of The Oval pitch in London have left everyone shocked.

Well, an image of The Oval has been making rounds on the internet. Fans were quick to notice that the ground had a similar level of grass on it.

Though, India will be high on confidence, having defeated the Australians earlier this year, however, the green surface at The Oval has become a matter of huge concern.

For the unversed, it is no secret that the Indian cricket team struggles against swing and bounce on a green surface. While the current slot of players has evolved in facing swinging deliveries, however, their confident approach hasn’t been fruitful so far. Time and again, the Indian cricket team has always struggled on green surfaces against tall pacers.

Change In Rules:

Ahead of the much-awaited WTC Final 2023, the ICC announced a few changes in the rules. The committee is headed by former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly on Monday announced that Umpires will no longer be required to give a soft signal while referring decisions to the Tv umpires.

“Soft signals have been discussed at previous cricket committee meetings over the last couple of years. The committee deliberated this at length and concluded that soft signals were unnecessary and at times confusing since referrals of catches may seem inconclusive in replays.” – ICC Chairman Sourav Ganguly.

India’s squad for WTC 2023 final:
