Former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi Announced New Beginning With Sushmita Sen

Yes- you read that right: former IPL chairman Lalit Modi is dating Bollywood Diva Sushmita Sen.

While the couple had known each other since Modi’s early days in the IPL, and had even exchanged pleasantries and flirted on social media in 2013, it is now, today, July 14th that Modi announced to the world, to the ones following him on social and to the ones who didn’t know anything about him as well, that he’s dating, Sushmita Sen. That he’s in love with and is the boyfriend of Miss Universe 1994 pageant!

That they are the better halves of each other. That they are into the “beginning a new life finally”. That he is “Over the moon”. That they are “just dating” but also confirmed that “it will happen one day” – and by it, he meant Marriage.

Over the moon,” Lalit Modi tweeted with pictures of the couple enjoying their romance on their recent adventures along with a couple of pictures from about 12 years ago.

In no time, this tweet, this news, went wild. People expressed all different sorts of emotions. Some news media houses even declared that 58-year-old Lalit Modi and 46-year-old Sushmita Sen are already married.

To that: “Just for clarity. Not married – just dating each other. That too it will happen one day,” he stated in another tweet with a few more pictures of them spending quality time.

Lalit Modi is the founder, first Chairman and Commissioner of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and ran the tournament for three years until 2010.

However, the king of the mountain fell down spectacularly when shortly after IPL 2010 ended, Modi was suspended from BCCI after being accused of misconduct, indiscipline and financial irregularities and was banned him for life in 2013 after a committee found him guilty of these charges.

Modi denied any wrongdoing and blamed accusations on rivalries. Shortly before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched an investigation against him for alleged financial irregularities, Modi moved to London where his now ex-wife’s family lived.

Sushmita Sen is a world-renowned actress. The beautiful 46-year-old Bollywood star has two adopted children and is unmarried.
