Deepak Chaurasia is a popular face of Television news who has over the years worked with many leading news channels including ABP News, India News, and DD News. Lately, he has been receiving a lot of backlash for his recent stint on the JNU students.
Well, a lot has happened after the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC in both the houses of the Supreme Court. Multiple protests have been going around the nation by the students from various universities, where Jawaharlal Nehru University has become the center of attraction.
The protests first happened at the Jamia Millia University (JMU) against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and then after the violence by a masked mob at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the protests grew stronger to all parts of the country. A silent protest has been going on at the Shaheen Bagh since then.
As far as journalism is concerned, from debates to the on-field investigations, a lot is being done to cover the news. Various debates are going on in every other news channel regarding the issue. Recently, Deepak Chaurasia also conducted a debate on News Nation, which hasn’t gone down well with the viewers.
During his debate, Deepak Chaurasiya slammed and called out JNU students by calling them as ‘traitors’. Not just this, the news anchor also went ahead and blamed JNU students for the unfortunate attack of Pulwama that took the lives of many soldiers.
A video of the same has been making rounds on Twitter. The video was shared by a Twitter user that wrote:
“What did I just see? Is this shouting and name calling by the anchor in a TV studio supposed be a debate? ?”
The video caught the attention of Netherland Cricketer Peten Borren who trolled the anchor for his senseless remark. Mocking Deepak Chaurasia, Peter used sarcasm and said that he agrees with the anchor that England cricket Denly has done a good job for England cricket team playing at number 3 in Test.
For your information, England Cricketer Denly has been under the scanner for his poor performances for a long time. Mocking Deepak, Peter wrote:
I’m not fluent, but I think I agree with the anchor. Denly has done a fine job for England at 3 in the test team. https://t.co/JOePMrerPr

A frank & robust exchange of views, most definitely. I think they agree though that Keaton Jennings should cover for the openers if either Crawley or Sibley get injured. I’m sure that’s what all the finger-wagging was about.
