Exactly 30 years ago, on November 15, 1989, one of the greatest cricketers from India, SACHIN TENDULKAR made his cricketing debut with India vs Pakistan Test match in Karachi and changed the game forever. He was only 16 years old when he first played for India.
There’s no denying the fact that Sachin made the cricket popular in the world. Several cricketers around the world drew inspiration from Sachin Tendulkar. In fact, in India, people call the legendary cricketer as the ‘God’ of cricket.
With uncountable records, Sachin Tendulkar not just etched his name in the record books but also in school textbooks. It was Sachin, who made our childhood so memorable by smashing the opponents on all the corners of the ground and winning matches for India. Remembering how the crowd on the ground used to cheer “Sachin…Sachin” still brings goosebumps to us.
Social media was flooded with posts relishing the 30th anniversary of the little master. Fans just couldn’t stop themselves from sharing heart-warming posts and thanking the legend for making us all fall in love with cricket.
One of the fans of Sachin Tendulkar, who goes by the username “@GabbarSingh” on twitter aptly described Sachin Tendulkar’s batting with his tweet. Comparing his batting with our hometowns, the fan retweeted a video of Sachin playing some brilliant shots and wrote:
“When you look back at Sachin’s batting now, it’s like coming back to your hometown & realizing its beauty. A town we took for granted coz we grew up in it. But now when u see it again, from an adult’s eyes, you get reminded there is no-one like him. Just have a look. Flawless.”

1) #SachinTendulkar was a big part of my growing up years. If he batted we cheered. When he got out, we turned our TVs off. He carried the Indian batting by himself for most of my childhood.
30 years since his debut! Will always remember him fondly.
