After a glorious career of 16 years, the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni decided to drop the curtain as he announced his retirement from the game of cricket. MS Dhoni, who is regarded as one of the greatest skippers to have ever graced the game, remains the only skipper in the world to have won all the ICC trophies under his captaincy  – ICC T20 World Cup (2007), ODI World Cup (2011) and Champions Trophy in 2013.

Under his leadership, MS Dhoni took the Indian cricket team to ‘number 1’ position. As a skipper, as a cricketer, he tried to achieve everything he could and emerged out as one of the greatest skippers in the world.
On the occasion of Independence Day, MS Dhoni took to his social media and posted a video of himself, featuring his glorious journey from day one with team India to the last match he played as ‘main pal do pal ka shayar hon’ a classic Hindi song played in the background.  Sharing the heart-touching video, Dhoni wrote:
“Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired (sic)”,

Wishes started pouring on social media for the legendary wicket-keeper batsman. social media was already flooded with heartfelt tributes from the fans. People are coming up with heart touching posts and videos to salute the legendary cricketer as he announced his retirement. Several cricketers and celebrities too joined the bandwagon and paid tributes for the cricketer.
Among many, former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir also took to his twitter and wrote an amazing tweet for MS Dhoni. In his tweet, Gautam Gambhir wrote that the new phase is going to be very exciting and will have no limit to DRS.
“From “India A” to “The India” our journey has been full of question marks, commas, blanks & exclamations. Now as you put a full stop to your chapter, I can tell u from experience that the new phase is as exciting and there’s no limit to DRS here!!! Well played @msdhoni @BCCI”
