Gautam Gambhir Trolled Cyrus For His “Lovely” Smile Remark

In a video posted by the Kolkata Knight Riders, host Cyrus Broacha jokingly commented on Gambhir’s demeanor, saying that he has a charming smile.

In response, Gambhir, currently serving as the team mentor for the Kolkata Knight Riders, smiled and remarked: “Lovely! thank you. Yeh toh meri wife ne bhi nahi bola (even my wife never said that). Thank you very much.”

Gambhir also cleared his stance on “Christiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi” debate. Last year, Gambhir left everyone shocked when he was asked to choose between two football greats- Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina’s Lionel Messi and he had replied “none”.  He then said, “Because I think, I would go Marcus Rashford.”

When Cyrus asked Gambhir about the same interview, he said: “Because I like Rashford” In his reply, Gambhir also highlighted how easily people form opinions without truly knowing the individual. He added:

“In this country, if there’s one thing that’s the most difficult to beat, its perception. I mean, someone who doesn’t even know me they have got a perception about me that he is intense. And why should I not have a game face? Because people don’t come to watch me smile. People come to watch KKR win,”
