MS Dhoni, the former captain of Indian cricketer has been receiving criticism for his performance lately. Although, his inputs on the ground have always turned in favor for the Indian cricket team but lately, he wasn’t able to leave a mark with his performance with bat.

MS Dhoni should be included in the playing XI of the Indian team or not, has become one of the most talked about topic. Whenever, this topic is discussed a new name always comes out and people talk about Rishabh Pant replacing MS Dhoni as the wicket-keeper, batsman of the team.

When the same question was asked to Gautam Gambhir, here’s what he said :

“There’s never been a right time and there’s never been a wrong time (to pick a player). It really depends on the combination and ultimately; it’s a performer that will keep you in the side. If MS (Dhoni) continues to do well, obviously he should be playing but if someone else does well I think that’s where it has got to be,”

Gautam Gambhir also talked about the performance of Prithvi Shaw during the match. Gambhir was all praises for the young cricketer but feels that there are bigger challenges ahead for Prithvi Shaw. He said :

“He’s impressive. He’s very talented, and that’s why he is there. He’s started off his Test career on a very good note, but there will be far bigger and far difficult challenges waiting for him.”

Well, we completely agree with Gautam Gambhir on this, but we are sure that Prithvi Shaw has a long way to go and he will fulfill all the expectations too.
