Gautam Gambhir’s Tweet On LSG’s Exit From IPL 2023 Has Gone Viral: Lucknow Super Giants were thrashed by Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator 1 round of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. Mumbai Indians produced a clinical performance with the ball when it mattered the most after a counter-attacking batting display to defeat LSG in a see-saw battle.
Lucknow Super Giants finished the league stage level on points with Chennai Super Kings, they were placed third in the table because of their net run rate. LSG was put into a do-or-die contest against Mumbai Indians. Interestingly, LSG suffered a similar fate last year as well when they were eliminated from the same stage.
LSG started well with the ball, restricting Mumbai Indians to 182 total on the scoreboard. Their star bowler Naveen-ul-Haq stole the show with his sensational bowling and keep the game going for them. Naveen picked four crucial wickets of players including Suryakumar Yadav, Cameron Green, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma.
Later on, Mumbai Indians put up a stellar performance with the ball and got better of LSG. The MI victory was orchestrated by Akash Madhwal, who stole the show with his amazing bowling spell. He etched history as he picked a five-wicket haul in the history of IPL playoffs. Madhwal finished with unbelievable figures of 5 for 5 off 3.3 overs after completely destroying LSG and paving the way for Mumbai Indians to take another step toward another IPL final.
