Australia surprised India’s top order with a brilliant display of swing bowling in the first match of the ongoing five-match One Day International (ODI) series. India elected to bat first after winning the toss and lost three quick wickets.

It started with Ajinkya Rahane who edged one straight into the hands of Australia’s wicketkeeper Mathew Wade, off Nathan Coulter Nile’s bowling. It was a lose shot that brought Indian captain Virat Kohli to crease. Kohli is in great form but he has always had issues outside the off-stump at the start of his innings.

Nathan Coulter Nile pitched the ball around 5th stump and took it away from Kohli. Instinctively, Kohli went for the expansive drive and Glenn Maxwell, who was stationed at point, took an outstanding one-handed catch.

Maxwell is one of the best fielders in world cricket. He is a very versatile fielder who can field at any position. Maxwell also has one of the strongest arms in the world. Coming back to his outstanding catch to dismiss Virat Kohli, the ball was travelling at a good speed but Maxwell timed his jump to perfection and took an outstanding catch. Watch it here:
