Glenn McGrath Is All Praises For Ishant Sharma After His Five-Wicket Haul In First Test: The Indian cricket team was recently defeated by the New Zealanders in the first Test match by 10 wickets. While the New Zealanders dominated the game throughout the match, the Indian Cricket team failed to perform in both the innings.
Not just the Indian batting line-up collapsed in front of the New Zealanders but also the bowling attack couldn’t leave a mark with their performance. India’s veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma was the only cricketer who made a little difference with his bowling as he picked up his 11th five-wicket haul in the longest format of the game.
Ishant Sharma has been doing great since the last couple of years, he has trained hard not just on his game but also in his transformation, as he was very skinny in the early portion of his career. He has been ocusing on muscle development which has helped him improve his game.
Recently, in an interview, Glenn McGrath was all praises for the Indian pacer Ishant Sharma. He praised the way, Ishant has made a comeback in the team. He said:
“Ishant has a lot of experience, the way he’s comeback in the last couple years, its been impressive. I thought his career might have been finished at international level, but he has reinvented himself and he is bowling well,”
Though the Indian cricket team is under the scanner for the way they performed in the first Test, but Glenn McGrath believes that India’s bowling is certainly one of the best-attacking line-ups in world cricket and will make a comeback int he second match. He said:
“I still have total faith in the Indian (bowling) lineup. They had a few injuries off late. Sharma is coming back and he did get five wickets. Bumrah had a couple of injuries and he is coming back. So, yeah, I think the Indian bowling attack is world-class and there is no doubt about that,”
