India’s emerging pace sensation Prasidh Krishna, who made his debut for team India in 1st ODI against England, has been receiving praises from all corners for his terrific performance. It was indeed a dream debut for the young speedster as he returned with the figures of 4/54 to guide India to a 66-run victory.

During the game, though, Krishna had a disastrous start with the new ball as he conceded 37 runs in his first three overs. However, the Indian skipper showed his faith in him and gave him another chance. And Krishna made full use of the opportunity given to him by bouncing back in style by picking 4 wickets for 17 runs in his next 5.1 overs.

Krishna also registered best-ever bowling figures on debut in ODIs as he became the first Indian bowler to pick 4 wickets on ODI’s debut. He has been receiving praises from the cricketing fraternity for his remarkable feat. Several cricketers and experts have come forward and congratulated Krishna. The latest one to heap praises on the young Indian bowler is Australian pace legend, Glenn McGrath.

McGrath took to his Instagram and congratulated the youngster for his figures of 4/54 and for breaking the Indian record. He wrote:

“Congratulations Prasidh @skiddyy on taking 4/54 & breaking the Indian record for most wickets taken by a bowler on ODI debut. Well done mate #cricket #mrfpacefoundation #fbc”

Earlier, India’s legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar applauded the performance of Prasidh Krishna and said that the way he bounced back was very impressive. He said:

“It was very good to see the way he [Prasidh Krishna] came back. He did that with a purpose. When he bowled from the pavilion end, he was hammered. But when he came back from the hill end, he got the bounce and got the ball in the right areas,”
