Hours before the game versus defending champions Chennai Super Kings, the Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya shared a sweet post for MS Dhoni on his Twitter account.
The two are at the different ends of the points table: the Titans are at the top with 8 points in 5 matches while CSK are at the second-last spot with just 1 win in 5 matches. Both the teams will clash on Sunday evening at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
Before the match, Hardik Pandya met Dhoni in the hotel room and took a couple of pictures. Hardik has often talked about his love, respect for Dhoni and how the Ranchi-born cricketer has been his inspiration.
The 28-year-old Baroda all-rounder uploaded a couple of photos of him meeting Dhoni and both the cricketers don a beaming smile in the images.

Pandya has been in superb form this season. Returning from a four-month layoff as he worked on his fitness, the right-hander has scored 228 runs in 5 matches, at an average of 76, while striking at 136. He’s also completed his quota of 4 overs in four of the five matches while also bowling with the new ball.

MS Dhoni started off his season with an innings of 50* off 38 balls, followed by a dash of 16* in 6 balls.
Speaking about the Titans, Hardik Pandya’s side has won 4 out of their 5 games with the skipper himself leading from the front with a magnificent all-round show in the last match versus Rajasthan Royals.
CSK, on the other hand, have just opened their account after losing their first four matches. A 23-run victory over RCB will give them the much-needed confidence, however, Ravindra Jadeja and management will want two of their star batters -Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali- to pick up form as early as possible.
